“Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I’ll spend the first four sharpening my axe.” – Abraham Lincoln

Cody Danastasio - Founder

After receiving his architectural axe from Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University, Cody proceeded to sharpen it working in the construction field. He has fueled his appetite for practical knowledge of building design by managing developments ranging in size from $200,000 to $25,000,000. With an intimate grasp of construction processes, methods, and sequencing, he is an invaluable resource for seeing designs on paper manifest into brick and mortar reality. Cody’s passion for architecture and design began as a child looking at books of construction equipment illustrations and exploded axonometric drawings of Star Wars ships. An enthusiastic Lego collector to this day, he retains his entire childhood haul hoping his kids will love them as much as him. He believes that a timeless architecture is about defining a location, and that the study of place and context fuels relevance and enriches design. It’s the canvas that allows different hues of paint to come together and become more than the sum of their parts, and the site acts as every successful building’s canvas.
